‘I Do!’, The most important day of your life following ‘Will you marry me?’
You want your photography on your day to be perfect for you. This little publication will help you on your way.
Firstly, choose a photographer that you really like as a person. This person will be at your side for the whole of your special day. If you don’t really get on, on a personal level, they won’t be able to achieve all those candid, posed, naturally smiling images that you’d set your heart on.
Assuming that you like me – what else do you need to know?
I am a lively, jolly, bundle of photographic energy! I am equally happy taking natural, reportage type images, as I am organising groups and doing more formal portraiture.
I can be politely directing, or apparently invisible, depending on your needs.
Whilst I am cheery, I’m also ultra discreet. This means that you can tell me all about that guest/s that you just had to invite – but are just dreading! I’ll ensure that everyone has a great photography experience.
I’ve been a photographer for more years than I care to mention! I’ve photographed in bright sun, rain, snow and very low light. I’ve done small boutique style hand-fastings, registry offices, churches and huge open air events. This means that you can be secure in the knowledge that I’ll do justice to your unique day and will be totally calm throughout.
I know that it is the small stuff that can upset on the big day. So, as well as a mass of spare camera equipment, I also carry a rescue box of stockings, needles, pins, make-up and much more – as well as a stack of umbrellas and a sheet.
‘Why a sheet?’ you might ask. Well, if you have a fancy to sit in grass/on trees/on rocks/on sand for a special image, then I put the sheet down first so that your wedding outfits aren’t ruined. (Under this hardy exterior is a considerate person trying to get out!)
For me, your wedding is all about you having the best possible photography experience…
Some couples really enjoy being photographed. However, I know that not everyone views this thought with wild desire! So…
My first aim is to get to know you. So many of my couples say that this initial chat, and practical photography advice, is the best thing that they could have done.
Depending on what you want, I offer posing tips, I show you how to look natural even when it is all set up. I show you immediately what is on the back of my camera, so that you can honestly critique what you like and don’t like. This ensures that come your wedding day – all will be wonderful!
What can you expect to have included in your photography coverage?
Before the ceremony…
If you are imagining a photographer skulking about to catch you in your altogether – relax! This can be your time for ‘fly on the wall’ images, portraits or any mix – your choice.
Details – All those details that you spent so much time choosing will not be missed.
Your ceremony covered – ‘I do’ happens in many places..Wherever you choose I will always capture its unique atmosphere.
Group photographs – Don’t worry, they won’t take ages! Starting with your biggest group first and then peeling people off, means each arrangement is a matter of a few minutes.
All about you as a couple…
I will climb fences, walk through fields, sand dunes or woods, lie flat, get wet, get cold, go up ladders, hang out of windows.. .just so long as you get the images that you are dreaming of. You only have to ask. If you’re up for it – I certainly will be too!
Natural moments…
Every wedding has little moments that are past in a flash and would soon be forgotten if not captured on camera. Yet it is these that for me bring your day uniquely alive – so I will be there to capture them.
Key moments..
I always cover confetti, speeches, cake cutting, first dance and then an ‘end of the day’ image. This allows me to present you with a complete story of your day in photographs – which makes for a fabulous album or coffee table book if you choose to have one.
‘What will I have to invest to achieve all this?’
This perfectly simple sounding question is actually a case of ‘it depends’. This is because I give you freedom to choose what suits you.
You can choose to have what suits you, starting from 4 hours of just digital coverage, using one photographer and receiving 250 images approximately at GBP600.
To that you can add more hours of photography coverage – additional GBP85 per extra hour.
More photographers – add GBP500 per extra one
Fabulous quality ‘Graphistudio’ leather album – starting from GBP350
Mother of the Bride copy books – Starting from GBP100
Mini Guest books – starting from GBP20
Prints – starting from GBP10 each
Large Wall Art prints – starting from GBP250
‘How do I book?’
Call 01326 251 379, 07735 454 476 or email ecmphotography@icloud.com to ask me if I am available for your date. (Popular times of year book up very quickly, so do this as soon as you can.)
You then pay a GBP200, non refundable, deposit to secure your booking. (The remainder of your photography fee doesn’t become payable until 6 weeks before your wedding day.)
Having had a chat with you and taken down all your wedding details, I then send you back full confirmation so that you know all is booked. You can then breathe a sigh of relief that all that is now sorted ready to move onto your next item!
