The PrioryThe Priory is situated in Little Wymondley, near Hitchin in Hertfordshire. With the picturesque scenery, this is a spectacular wedding venue allowing couples to thoroughly enjoy their day. The Priory was founded in 1203 by a Norman knight, but the Priory barn was actually constructed in 1541 by James Needham who was the King’s carpenter. The barn is 100 feet long which has 9 bays on either side. The Priory is a well established wedding venue, where the atmosphere allows you to experience a relaxed and informal wedding reception. This Victorian, listed building has a distinctive, Gothic facade and has been sympathetically restored and renovated, both inside and out, to its original glory. The ground floor is used for commercial purposes with the community facilities in the first floor. The Town Hall has three versatile function rooms that can be used for wedding and civil ceremonies, receptions, private parties and meetings. They can accommodate up to 200 people, depending on the type of function.
