The Old School Ceilidh BandWe at The Old School Band are a well established and experienced ceilidh band in the North West of England. We specialise in doing events for ceilidhs, hoedowns and barndances. We use a variety of instruments such as: the melodeon, guitar, banjo, bouzouki, saxophone, tenor guitar, and mandolin – the Band’s foot tapping sound makes events that extra bit special. Our band is happy to travel and play across the North West including: Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, etc. Typical towns we have played in before include Southport, Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Chorley, Blackburn, St Annes, Blackpool, Kendal, Lancaster, Wigan, Clitheroe, Garstang, Darwen, Ashton Under Lyne, Bolton, Arnside, Borrowdale, Samlesbury, Slaidburn and Ormskirk. Our main aim is to ensure that everyone has a good time! We can guarantee that if you use us as your entertainment, you will have an enjoyable, inclusive and fun-packed evening of jigs, reels and hornpipes suitable for any occasion.
