Here at Alternative Stretch Tents we think our prices are very competitive to ‘like for like’ products and services, alternatively we can generally match any other genuine quote received. Please note our tents are of the highest specification and made in South Africa where they originated from, not cheap unsafe Chinese versions! All pictures found on our website are from our Stretch Tents, unlike some alternative companies. During busy summer months, May til October unfortunately we cannot hold any tent, contents or structure until deposit is received.

The PrioryThe Priory is situated in Little Wymondley, near Hitchin in Hertfordshire. With the picturesque scenery, this is a spectacular wedding venue allowing couples to thoroughly enjoy their day. The Priory was founded in 1203 by a Norman knight, but the Priory barn was actually constructed in 1541 by James Needham who was the King’s carpenter. The barn is 100 feet long which has 9 bays on either side. The Priory is a well established wedding venue, where the atmosphere allows you to experience a relaxed and informal wedding reception. Berkhamsted Town HallBerrkhamsted Town Hall was built in 1859. This Victorian, listed building has a distinctive, Gothic facade and has been sympathetically restored and renovated, both inside and out, to its original glory. The ground floor is used for commercial purposes with the community facilities in the first floor. The Town Hall has three versatile function rooms that can be used for wedding and civil ceremonies, receptions, private parties and meetings. They can accommodate up to 200 people, depending on the type of function. The stunning rooms feature original fireplaces, windows, carvings and wood panelled walls the Great Hall, a popular venue for wedding receptions, has a barrel vault ceiling and minstrel’s gallery. Situated in the heart of Berkhamsted on the High Street, the hall has disabled facilities including a lift and a cloakroom. Our aim is to provide the individuality and character of a rare car from the 1930s for approximately the same price as a more modern and less charismatic conveyance. Our rates are very competitive and, as far as we know, we are one of the cheapest available locally for quality, pre-war cars. We have a 3-litre Roesch Talbots, manufactured between 1933 and 1934 which is presented in matching black and ivory livery. We also have a drophead coupe, reg no 9957 AP, manufactured in 1933 with very pretty bodywork by James Young & Company. We can cover areas such as Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Surrey and London. Our standard rates, unchanged for many years are: GBP295 for either of the cars on its own or GBP550 for both cars at the same wedding.
