This Victorian, listed building has a distinctive, Gothic facade and has been sympathetically restored and renovated, both inside and out, to its original glory. The ground floor is used for commercial purposes with the community facilities in the first floor.
The Town Hall has three versatile function rooms that can be used for wedding and civil ceremonies, receptions, private parties and meetings. They can accommodate up to 200 people, depending on the type of function. The stunning rooms feature original fireplaces, windows, carvings and wood panelled walls the Great Hall, a popular venue for wedding receptions, has a barrel vault ceiling and minstrel’s gallery.
Situated in the heart of Berkhamsted on the High Street, the hall has disabled facilities including a lift and a cloakroom. A full bar service is provided when hiring a room or rooms, and the fully equipped kitchen is available for use by the Town Hall’s own contracted caterers, who can provide anything from a finger buffet to a three-course sit down meal.
